SP5 Greg King was a medic assigned to Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry. He was a medic in the 1st and 2nd platoons and the CP during 1968 and 1969.

This is a great shot of LZ Cork showing a Chinook landing and the trench system between bunkers. It was anticipated that LZ Cork would receive heavy action and
possible overruns. They were overrun (Anyone remember the date and events?). The 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry spent a lot of time engaging the 3rd NVA Division.

These are the guys Greg spent a lot of time with. His squad. This picture was
taken on "Christmas Hill" (so dubbed) as you can see why. Jim Shelton is second from left. Sitting in the
back behind the guy with the jungle hat on is SGT Kelley.
