Never trust your "pals" when you're in the bag during a standown. All Robert can remember clearly about standown was there was only one (thank God), and they were "locked down" in a compound at Chu Lai for about a week with all the beer they could drink. The MP's guarded the entrance, and they had to sign in and out to get to the main base at Chu Lai. Real segregation for the "field rats"!
