Obituary

Donald F. Linzey, 57. Beloved husband, father and brother passed away suddenly January 28th at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.

He was born March 13, 1950 in Beaver Falls, PA. His family moved to Kent in 1963. Don graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in the class of '68. After marrying, he made his home in Paris Township since 1975.

He was a distinguished Vietnam Veteran, awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart while serving in the U.S. Army.

Don worked in the wire and spring industry for over thirty years. He was a Regional Sales Manager for Bekaert Corporation.

In all that he did, a passion for life was always evident. His enthusiasm touched everyone he met. He was a fun-loving, avid sports enthusiast and past officer of the Southeast Athletic Boosters. Above all, Don loved his family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sheri Linzey, daughter, Chelsea Linzey of Columbus, Ohio, and son Brett Linzey of Westlake, Ohio. Also, brother Bob Linzey of Eastlake Ohio, Janis Linzey of Kent Ohio and sister, Nancy Linzey of Suffield, Ohio. In addition, he had 9 nieces and 5 nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Donald and Betty Linzey of Kent, Ohio.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008, 10AM-1PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral home, 628 West Street, Kent. A funeral service will be at 2:00PM in the funeral home, followed by a burial ceremony at Standing Rock. Our deepest gratitude is sent to the staff at Robinson Memorial Hospital.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southeast Athletic Boosters Scholarship Fund or Robinson Memorial Hospital (RC, 02-1-2-08)

Sheri, informed Mike McQueen that Don's death was caused by a ruptured abdominal aortic anuerysm.
