I had the honor of Col Jack Treadwell pinning the Purple Heart to my filfthy sweaty jungle fatigues and shaking his hand afterwards in a short ceremony at LZ Baldy I Corps along with a few other awardees on October 1968. I was wounded in the Que Son Valley September 26, 1968. I was a demo man assigned to the 196th Light Infantry Bde. I am very proud and honored to have been decorated and shake hands with such a dedicated patriot and fine man.
