Hill 4-11 Association Reunions

24th Reunion - Cody, Wyoming - June 8-11, 2017

The 24th reunion of the Hill 4-11 Association will be held June 8-11, 2017 in Cody, WY. Our host facility will be the Buffalo Bill Village Resort, located at 1701 Sheridan Ave. The complex includes a Holiday Inn, a Comfort Inn and the Buffalo Bill (cabin) Village, which are all within easy walking distance of each other.

The Saturday evening banquet will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel, which will also be the site of our hospitality room.

The Resort has set aside 60 cabins (75% of the Village) for us to have our own semi-private reunion compound. A limited number of rooms are available in each of the hotels, if you prefer. Our special reunion rates are:

These rates are also in effect for 3 days before and 3 days after the dates of our reunion, subject to room availability.

Reservations should be made directly with the Resort at 307-587-5544. Tell them that you are with the “3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry” (code: ZUJ) and let them know which accommodations you prefer. Because of the extreme popularity of the area during the summer, it is recommended that you make your reservations early, especially if you would like to stay extra days before or after the reunion. The Resort will begin taking reservations on October 1st. There is plenty of complimentary on-site parking. You may park an RV in designated areas; however, you may not stay in the RV.

Cody is served by Delta and United airlines; however, it is a small airport with limited flights. It may be more convenient for some to fly into either Riverton, WY or Billings, MT, rent a car and drive the 2 hours to Cody. Riverton is home to the Wind River Casino; for history buffs, the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument is about an hour from Billings. Everyone planning to arrive by air should make their travel arrangements early.

Our scheduled activities are still being finalized; however, they include a Memorial Service at the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Park (in Cody), a Friday evening all-you-can-eat Chuckwagon BBQ dinner and family-oriented show, possibly followed by a rodeo, and our traditional Saturday evening banquet, complete with a live band. Children's prices will be available for both meals.

There are a wide variety of things to do and places to visit during our free time, starting with the beauty and natural wonders of nearby Yellowstone National Park. Other outdoor activities include horseback riding and white-water rafting for the more adventurous attendees. The one-hour guided Trolley Tour is a good way to learn about all that Cody has to offer. The Buffalo Bill Center of the West contains five Smithsonian-affiliated museums (the Buffalo Bill Museum, the Cody Firearms Museum, the Plains Indians Museum, the Draper Natural History Museum and the Whitney Museum of Western Art). And no visit to Cody would be complete without seeing the historic downtown, highlighted by Bill Cody's own Irma Hotel.
