Mapping Trauma and Its Wake:
Autobiographic Essays by Pioneer Trauma Scholars by John P. Wilson.
I am forwarding a Chapter from a new book soon to be published, written by a
dear friend of mine who was one of only 10 selected renowned
pioneers/experts in PTSD from throughout the world. He has given me
permission to forward a copy of his contribution to this book to whomever I
would like and quite frankly you E-Troopers (also Charlie Wood and his Hill
4-11 website) were the first to come to mind. (I wonder why) In any event,
I've heard a lot of chatter and questions thru the E-Troopers emails about
PTSD and know most of you have now been awarded a VA Disability Rating for
it many years after the fact. I hope this helps in your understanding it's
time lag for your ratings, treatment and of it's origins, depth and meaning.
I believe we all owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Wilson for his help in bring
about the changes needed to grant ALL COMBAT VETERANS what they rightly
deserve, understanding and help!
