During the "Jump," the 4.2 mortar platoon challenged Gun II to a contest. Each unit would take turns firing at a particular tree to see who could hit it first. Here, Gun II is firing direct fire. Wilson is to the left, with Hager pulling the lanyard and Patti observing.
