In Quang Ngai, the traffic was very heavy. Here, you can see motorcycles, Lambrettas, and military traffic. On the right are some outdoor restaurants.

At the time, Quang Ngai was the third largest city in South Vietnam. In the center of the city, roads were made of rock, dirt, and mud. At this intersection, marked by anti-Viet Cong signs, the convoy turned left and headed towards the western edge of Quang Ngai and the final link in the road to FSB Hill 4-11.

On the west side of town, we passed a partially completed cathedral that was started in the 60's but was never completed because of the war.

As we reached the outskirts of Quang Ngai, we passed an ARVN basic training base.
